Biological Treatment
Biological Treatment can be defined as a method of using bacteria and other simple organisms to treat waste material. It means that toxic chemicals may be decomposed into less toxic or non-toxic chemicals or may be absorbed by organic matter produced by bacteria or simply pass through, unchanged. This treatment is used for dealing with the sewage or wastewater that is emitted by businesses, industries and even residences. The effects of sewage water are extremely hazardous to health and obviously exceptional treatments are required to eliminate or treat it properly. Biological Treatment is the secondary treatment that is used in the process of eliminating sewage wastewater. In this phase of the treatment, sewage microorganisms are cultivated and added to the wastewater that absorbs organic matter from sewage as their food supply. There are three approaches that are used during the process of Biological Treatment. The first one is the fixed film systems approach in which microorganisms are fixed onto substrates or rocks after which wastewater is passed over them so they can absorb the organic matter. The second approach is that of suspended film systems in which microorganisms are stirred and suspended in wastewater. In the third and final approach of this secondary treatment, the lagoon systems approach; wastewater is kept in shallow basins for several months for the natural degradation of sewage using microorganisms. These bacterial products are available in a variety of forms for different actions like WW07P, WW07L, MS14, OE42, CW55, and more. It is most certain that a blended range of bacterial concentrates is required so that a huge range of wastes and materials could be taken care of. The bacterial products used during the course of the Biological Treatment should be harmless for the environment and personnel using them as well as being reasonable in terms of quality and cost.
